During their concert today, the band bid farewell to tenor saxophonist, Maxine Matthews. Maxine left the band on rather short notice in April this year, but is back in Durban for a few days.

The reason for her hasty departure was that she had been accepted to study with renowned classical saxophonist Theodor Kerkezos at the Athens Conservatory. This is a great achievement and a great honour! We wish Maxine all the best in her future endeavours.
