blogsGreat Website
Hello everyone!
It´s Max here writing from cold and soon to snow Greece. I´m sorry but for the life of me I can´t fathom how to work this website! I think I will have to email Edd the horn player and ask for some lessons cos I´m very confused. Will this now be posted for everyone to read? I hope so because I want to say how great the site is. The tour to Mauritias sounds like you guys had a ball and I´m sure you played brilliantly (wish I could have been there). Anyway I´m going to now see if this will come up in a place where everyoe can read it and then get back to practicing (I feel very guilty about being on here at the mo but Oh my concentration is failing me!)
Reading about the tourI've been talking to various people recently returned from the Mauritius tour and reading their blogs. Not enough people have blogs! However, thanks to voyager's LiveJournal entry, Travis on MXit and edd on various IM networks I have been given somewhat complete coverage. I'm definitely going to have to sit down with someone over a beer and get a report in person, though. By jerith at 2006-10-03 21:44 | jerith's blog

So Mauritius, So Delicious
Wow, what an awesome tour! I must admit I didn't come back with a tan, only a few lobster patch areas but it was an amazing week... I could have definitely lazed around on the beach for another week or 10 :p I'm really looking forward to all you guys posting your photos because I missed out on a lot of great photo opportunities! Anyway, back to the real world... I'm slowly starting to re-adapt, I had better get back to work!

On cancelled tours and visitorsI was recently informed of the unfortunate decision to cancel the Cape Town tour, which means I won't get to see all the nice band people in August. On the other hand, one of the nice band people came to see me. Gavin was in town for some french horn thing so this evening included dinner with him and the Moores at a little place in Observatory with interesting decor and very good food. Gav seems to have gotten something of a raw deal due o some kind of misunderstanding which I won't go into here. This is a pity, because he's a nice guy and a good musician and I think the band needs to hang onto people like him as much as possible. Trombone repairsAfter a whole bunch of car trouble (I lent it to my brother and somebody crashed into him) it looks like I'll finally have enough transport to take my trombone for some much-needed repairs. Hopefully it'll be fixed by the time the band comes to visit me, but if not I have a cunning plan. I hear one of the trombonists recently acquired a much-awaited new instrument and apparently he's not all that careful about locking it up... ;-) Testing the tagsString players' motto: ``It's better to be sharp than out of tune.'' |
